Simchat Torah (“Rejoicing in the Torah”) celebrates finishing the yearly cycle of Torah readings and starting again from the beginning — it’s one of the most joyful nights on the Jewish calendar, and it’s especially kid-friendly.

Here’s what to expect: We’ll gather for a musical service, then unroll the entire Torah scroll together. Kids get to come inside the fully unrolled Torah and receive a blessing — a magical, once-a-year experience. Then it’s time to dance! We’ll carry the Torah through a joyful dance party that everyone joins, with small Torah scrolls made just for little ones to hold and dance with.

We’ll also joyfully welcome CBH’s new Rabbi Educator, Rabbi Malka, as she joins our community at this season of renewal and connection.

Come as you are — no Hebrew or prior knowledge needed. Just bring your dancing shoes!

Pizza dinner will start at 5:45, and the celebration & ceremony will commence at 6:15 pm.
