Are you hungry to learn?
Maybe you want to review our mythic story, from the Garden of Eden to Mt Sinai to Israel; maybe you're curious about different streams of Jewish thought, and the place for Jews who don't fit in the "traditional" mold; maybe you're feeling called to wrestle with God, and curious what our sages think is a fair fight.

Clearing Your Spiritual Chametz
Ma’alot is proud to co-sponsor a unique workshop from Ma’ayan Spiritual Arts to help you prepare for Passover (beginning on the evening of April 22)!
For many people, Passover means serious Spring cleaning and ridding their houses of chametz (all of the forbidden grains) and switching up dishes. This in-person workshop is an opportunity to explore clearing your spiritual chametz; adapting the ancient practice of ensuring that no leavened products remain in your home with a modern ritual of releasing that which no longer serves you. We will incorporate the traditional elements of a candle and a feather as we “sweep” away that which blocks our passage to internal freedom and liberation. Open to all Jewish adults age 13 and up.
Ruach Neshama x Hagaddah: A Journey through Melody and Spirit
Join Ma’alot for a unique Passover-themed concert at an intimate boutique, featuring the dynamic duo Kendra Root Wolpe and Rabbi Ariel Root Wolpe. Immerse yourself in an evening of soulful melodies from hagaddah and the album "Ruach Neshama," inviting inner transformation and spiritual liberation.

Purim in the Park!
We're back for our 3rd annual Purim in the Park! Join us in a North Decatur park for awesome activities for all ages followed by a costume parade around the park. In line with Purim celebrations, costumes are highly encouraged!
When celebrating Purim, there are four mitzvot (commandments) we're encouraged to fulfill. One of the four mitzvot is giving matanot l’evyonim, which translates to “gifts for the poor.” We ask that each family bring a box (or more!) of dry pasta to this event to be used during the celebration as “groggers” (noisemakers). After the celebration, the pasta will be donated to Atlanta Free Fridge to feed our neighbors.
GenderBlender, a Ma’alot Purim Party
Due to extenuating circumstances, we unfortunately have to cancel this event.
On March 23, Ma’alot invites you to take off your masks — or not — put on new masks — or not — and ENTER THE BLENDER. We’ll come out, create, dance, and be seen for who we really are… who we are that night, anyway. GENDER BLENDER is a chance to put down all those constricting appearances and expectations and just BE US, TOGETHER.
