The Hike Route

A walking service up Arabia Mountain — eight stretches of trail, one mountaintop, and the sound of the new year arriving outdoors.

The route, start to finish — numbered stops match the trail notes below.

8 STEPS · ~ 2H50 TOTAL

1. Meet at the Nature Center, then paved walkway:
30 MIN, FLAT · PAVED

Gather at the Nature Center, then an easy flat walk out toward the base of the mountain

2. Cross the street to the wooded trail:
20 MIN, FLAT · WOODED

Cross over and pick up the wooded trail — still flat, now under tree cover.

3. Pause where we emerge onto the rock:
10 MIN, SLIGHT INCLINE

The trail opens onto bare granite — we pause here as a group before continuing.

4. Walk to the lake overlook:
15 MIN, SLIGHT INCLINE

From the rock face, a gentle climb across open granite to the lake overlook,

5. Rest at the lake overlook:
20 MIN, SEATED

We rest as a group here before the final climb.

6. Up to the mountaintop service spot
15 MIN, INCLINE

The steepest stretch of the day — a steady climb up to where we'll gather, timed to the setting sun.

7. Rock ledge service on the summit
30 MIN, Seated

Rock‑ledge seating at the top of Arabia Mountain (948 ft) for our Rosh Hashanah service.

8. Return to the parking lot:
20–30 MIN, DOWNHILL · PAVED

Downhill back to the crosswalk, then the paved path returns us to the Nature Center parking lot.
